Construction

This is an unashamedly wooden boat.  It is the traditional building material embodying centuries long experience and techniques but incorporating modern materials to address the inherent  but well understood problems of moisture and decay.

The adhesives and fibreglass protect but the essential warmth and beauty of a natural material shines through.

In simple terms ribs are laminated to form the shape,  these are clad in timber planking and eventually fibre glass sheathed. This provides a strong and static hull which will hold a paint finish of considerable durability and glossy beauty.

Particular attention is paid to producing a low maintenance yacht. Varnish is beautiful but few want to spend money and time attending to it.
